As a self-taught artist, perseverance, inspiration and above all, trust have been Dante Dentoni's key. Creating art installations requires the confidence of all observers and collectors who choose to have art built as part of their home. His embedded works, as a kind of tattoo, are personalized and treated with perfectionism. His intention is that installations connect physical and emotional environments, mixing art with architecture, combine the experiences of observers with his own intervention. Each scene within an installation is not only a hidden and mysterious space, but also an invitation to discover a recreation of a childhood memory, an unforgettable narrative, a valuable remembrance or simply a meaningful moment, wondering to make you feel the pleasure of being surprised. Toys, LEGOs bricks, wood and drywall allow Dante to create scenes full of details, which do their best to inspire your own imagination.
Just like Dante did, when moving from Argentina, – where he was born – to Miami – his home since 2000 – his art pieces have travelled too. Installations and art pieces were designed for private collectors including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, Denver and abroad, Colombia, Panama, Guatemala, Sweden, Australia, Mexico and Italy. Dentoni's artworks have been exhibited in 'Contemporary Art Galleries' in Wynwood, Miami. In addition, every year he participates in the Art Basel Week at Art Miami Fair. In 2017, Dante had the honor of participating in the Florence Biennale in Italy, where he was awarded with the 2nd place in the category of Installation.
'Understanding the structural nuances of the building, I propose installations of all sizes.
My work makes adults become children and children stay close to art.
Scenes are a place where the real world expands until it becomes unreal. A creative bridge to our emotions to observe us extensively.'
